The Universal Class database offers a wide variety of online classes that you can apply to your career, your home life, or your leisure time. Crafts, entrepreneurship, accounting, real estate, pet care, mathematics, cooking and writing are just a few of the many subjects that are offered. Classes are generally divided up into several lessons, and include outside links to helpful websites, instructor feedback, and assignments and exams to put your newfound knowledge to the test.

Help! My young children are out of school for the break and need something to do. Any ideas?

The library's TCCL Kids Page can help. Found under the Interests menu (in the Topics column) of our homepage, the kids page has a collection of links to safe, kid friendly sites for games, comics, online story telling, educational topics and more.

My mother loves to read but is not able to drive. Do you deliver books to people who aren't able to get to the library?

Yes, the library does offer a homebound delivery service and Books By Mail to those customers who are physically unable to travel to their library branch. This option is offered through our Outreach Services department. Customers who qualify for homebound delivery can request their own items, or have Outreach staff select materials based on their reading preferences.

Can the library help me locate phone numbers and addresses of individuals and companies?

Yes, the library offers a directory database called Reference USA. This database can be used at all library locations and from home. To access this database from the library's homepage, go to Research & Learn, then click on the Alphabetical List of Databases, and you'll Reference USA under R.

Alan Furst has been selected as the 2011 Peggy V. Helmerich Distinguished Author Award Winner by the Tulsa Library Trust. Where can I learn more about him and his work?

You can learn more about Alan Furst and his career through the Biography in Context database. First click on the Research & Learn tab at the top of the library home page, then select Alphabetical List of Databases. Scroll down to the B's for Biography in Context. Perform a search for the name Furst, Alan and you should receive a list of results, the first of which will be a biography from Contemporary Authors Online.
