Yes, the library offers a Tulsa World database that contains full text articles from 1989 to present. This database can be used at all library locations and from home. To access this database from the library's website, click on Research & Learn, then look for Tulsa World in the T's.

The library's Government Documents section has a weather page with several links to agencies with information on preparedness for tornadoes and other severe weather. To find these, click the Government Documents link in our Research & Learn tab, and look for the gray Weather tab.

Tulsa hosts a variety of different authors throughout the year, and the library can help you find out when and where they'll be speaking. Local Author Events provides information on upcoming speaking engagements by both local and visiting authors. Some are held at the library, while others are presented by outside groups such as Book Smart Tulsa, an organization devoted to promoting the literary arts in our city.

The library has two databases, World News Digest and Issues & Controversies, that are great for learning about current events and contemporary political and social topics. World News Digest focuses more on newspaper articles and stories, and allows you to search for pieces by time period (back to the 1940s) and country.

The library's digital collection allows you to check out materials to read or listen to on your computer, laptop, Nook, Kindle, iPad, Android or a variety of other devices. You can access these materials on our digital media page.
