Learn how to use this online mapping tool from the Census Bureau to create local employment and industry maps using these search functions:

  • Area Profile - data by age groups, earnings, and industry sectors
  • Area Comparison - get the same data as "Area Profile" but for parts of a city, such as the Census Tracts in Tulsa
  • Distance/Direction - gives the distances between Home and Work for workers who either live or work in the analysis area
  • Destination - data about the destinations of workers who either live or work in the analysis area
  • Inflow/Outflow - data about the number of people who live in the analysis area and work outside of it, about the number of people or who work in the analysis area and live outside of it, and the people who both live and work in the analysis area.
