Martin Regional Library will be closed Oct 19-Nov 1 for library improvements.
On Tuesday, February 12 Tulsa County voters are being asked to decide school board posts in Broken Arrow, Liberty and Berryhill School Districts.
Voters will also vote on school bonds for Jenks and Union School Districts. The bond issues don't raise property taxes because school districts pay off existing bonds as new ones are added, officials said.
Voters in Jenks will be asked to approve an $11.5 million bond issue for the purchase of textbooks, school buses, classroom renovations, safety equipment and more.
The Union school district is asking voters to approve a $20.4 million bond proposal to expand and remodel the 6th and 7th Grade Center, replace the track at the high school and other projects.
Tulsa, Union, Sand Springs, Jenks, Bixby, Glenpool, Owasso, Skiatook, Sperry, Keystone, and Collinsville school board posts as well as a post at Tulsa Technology Center will see no election because of a single candidate race or no candidate.
For more information about Tuesday's election or the names of individuals who will serve without election, see the League of Women Voters of Metropolitan Tulsa Voter Guide or the article in Sunday's Tulsa World.
