Today, February 4, 2013, at noon the Oklahoma Legislature was gaveled into session. As per usual, we are likely set to have yet another exciting legislative season in Oklahoma. Legislative members filed over 2,400 bills for consideration in this legislative session.
Governor Fallin welcomed legislators and marked the occasion with the annual State of the State address. In her address, Governor Fallin proposed a .25 percent cut to the upper most tax rate. She called for increased spending to education and mental health service, and immediate allocations for much-needed repairs to the State Capitol.
