I have a dream... 50 years later

Today marks the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom. The march saw between 200,000 and 300,000 people converge on the Washtington Mall in front of the Lincoln Memorial where a parade of speakers representing multiple races and religions advocated for civility and equalty through prayers and speeches  and hoped to rally support for President Kennedy's proposed Civil Rights legislation.

We're Moving

central library remodel

The Central Library location will close this Friday, August 30th, for a two-year renovation.

During the renovation, the Tulsa and Oklahoma collection will move to a temporary nonpublic facility at 44th and Sheridan. If your research requires browsing this collection, we will be taking appointments once our move is complete. In the meantime, research staff will continue to offer research services via text, IM, email, and phone.
