Disaster Recovery Center

fdlp logoA Disaster Recovery Center is open in the Mannford Community Center (101 Green Valley Road, Mannford), and will be open 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays, to assist Creek County fire victims with their FEMA disaster claims.  FEMA representatives say the Center will remain open as long as there is a need. The Center is in the same building as the Mannford Public LIbrary, which has been offering free copying and fax machines.

No Driver's Exams on Thursday, August 24

fdlp logoAll 36 Oklahoma driver's exam stations will be closed on Thursday, August 24 for training. Not to worry though, exams will resume on Friday (where available).

 

Federal Disaster Relief for Creek County

fdlp logoFederal aid for victims of the Creek county wildfires has been approved. Residents or business that sustained damage after July 28 should contact FEMA at 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) or go online to apply for assistance: http://www.disasterassistance.gov/.

Primary Runoff Next Tuesday

fdlp logoJust a reminder that next Tuesday, August 28 is Primary Runoff day in Tulsa County and surrounding areas. On our area ballots are a republican and democrat runoff for U.S.

Vision2

On Monday the Tulsa County Commission approved a ballot initiative to extend the Vision 2025sales tax rate. The initiative, known as Vision2, would not be a new tax, but would extend the 0.6% Vision 2025 sales tax rate through 2029. As it stands now, this tax would expire January 1, 2017.
