Tulsa Transit on Google

Tulsa Transit is now accessible through Google Maps. This is a great thing for Tulsa, its existing bus riders and any new bus riders.

To find a bus route simply input your starting location, desired end location and time of travel into Google Maps (Googlemaps.com/transit), Google will route your trip letting you know which Tulsa Transit bus(es) will get you on your way. 

City of Tulsa Capital Projects List

Come November, the City of Tulsa will ask voters to decide on a capital improvement bond totalling near $919 million. The City Council approved a list of projects and now plans to offer a series of town halls to get feedback from the community. The majority of the proposed projects are street related though slated projects provide for improvements to facilites across Tulsa, including the Central Library (full disclosure).

Town Hall Meetings Scheduled

Mayor Bartlett and the Tulsa City Council have scheduled a series of town hall meetings to dicuss a potential $800 million public works bond package that would be paid for by extentions of the third-penny and 0.167-cent sales tax. It's Flag Day

It's June 14, which means it's flag day.

Though not a federal holiday, President Woodrow Wilson in 1916 did issue a proclamation officially establishing June 14 as Flag Day. Why June 14? The flag of the United States was adopted on that day in 1777 by resolution of the Second Continental Congress.
