The City of Tulsa will present the final report from its recently completed Brownfields Area-Wide Planning Grant project at a public meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 22, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the City Council Chamber, 175 E. 2nd Street, Second Floor.
This report will serve as a redevelopment plan for Brownfields within a specific study area: the four square miles within the boundaries of North Cincinnati Avenue, East 36th Street North, North Peoria Avenue and I-244. The City has completed this project using a Brownfields Area-Wide Planning Grant from the Environmental Protection Agency to identify Brownfields and create strategies for their redevelopment.
The City of Tulsa was one of 23 cities that were selected to receive a pilot grant from the EPA for Brownfields area-wide planning.
A limited number of paper copies of the plan will be available at the public meeting. The plan also is available to download from the City of Tulsa website: www.cityoftulsa.org/our-city/economic-development/brownfields.aspx.
