Want to be a published writer?

Interested in seeing your writing in print? The Change Agent, a newspaper published twice a year for adult learners and educators, is seeking articles for its next edition on food. From their Call For Articles:

GED Success

The GED has changed!  

TCCL Librarian Rebecca Howard, Literacy Program Specialist Cleo Berninger, and a representative from the Union Public Schools Adult Education Center will discuss the recent changes to the GED and how to prepare for the test.  This is a FREE class, open to all, no R.S.V.P. required!  You do not have to be a participant in the literacy program to attend. 

When: Thursday, February 13th, 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.

Where: Zarrow Regional Library, 2224 W. 51 St.

Colorado Libraries for Early Literacy (CLEL) has created an award for high-quality picture books that provide excellent support of early literacy development in young children. Books have been selected in each of five categories: books that promote reading, writing, singing, talking, and playing. These are all ways that parents can share literacy with their children
