This interactive session will be presented by Robert J. Doolittle, PhD. Dr. Doolittle is a retired faculty member of the University of Tulsa Department of Communication where he taught courses such as persuasion, conflict management and political communication for more than 25 years.

1933 Unemployment Relief Census

 

The OKlahoma Historical Society Research Center staff and volunteers have recently completed a database of Oklahoma records for unemployment relief. The database includes more than 100,000 names from 27 counties. These records are part of the William H. Murray Collection and include valuable genealogical details about Oklahomans including their name, race, age, nearest post office/address, number of dependents, occupation, and whether or not they needed relief.

The Adult Students in Scholastic Transition (ASIST) program is available to adults facing economic, social, or physical challenges, who are looking to improve their situation through educational opportunities.
