Microsoft Retail Store Grand Opening Festivities

The Tulsa City-County Library just received some exciting news! We have received a technology grant from Microsoft. They are opening a new retail store at Woodland Hills Mall on Thursday, November 20th, and they have asked TCCL to bring library supporters to the event. We will be at the new store from 9-11. Attendees will get MS freebies and to view the opening from a special section.

El Dia de Los Muertos and Halloween

October is almost over, and that means that two holidays are coming up. Halloween, on October 31st, probably springs to mind first for most Americans, but the festival of El Dia de los Muertos, or the Day of the Dead, will also take place over the upcoming weekend.  While those unfamiliar with the Day of the Dead may confuse it with Halloween, regarding both holidays as "spooky," actually the holidays are quite different, although they share some of the same roots in harvest festivals and the Catholic Church. Meet Our New Office Manager!

We have a new member of the Literacy Team! Kathryn Herron has recently started work as our new Office Manager. We are so happy to have her! We asked her to introduce herself:  My name is Kathryn Herron, and I am the new Administrative Assistant. I have worked for the Tulsa City-County Library for close to five years, working for the Circulation department.
