Got a new smart phone or tablet for Christmas? Use it to download ebooks, magazines, songs, and more from the library using these apps!

The library already has a large number of resources available on our website. Now several are available in app form, to make them more accessible on your tablet or smart phone. Here are some of the resources you can look for in your app store and download:

 

1.       The TCCL app – Access the Tulsa Library app to look for items, place holds, renew your checkouts, and more.

Think You Might Have The Flu? Medline Plus Lists Symptoms And Health News To Help You Stay On Top Of Things.

To find information on flu, including symptoms, prevention and treatment, try the Medline Plus database. You can access it through the Research & Learn tab at the top the library homepage in the alphabetical Databaseslist. In the Medline Plus search field, enter the word ‘flu' and hit ‘search'. Click on the first result from the National Library of Medicine. This will bring up a new page with an overview of the disease and several headings.

Journalist Rick Atkinson Is The Winner Of The 2015 Peggy V. Helmerich Distinguished Author Award. Where Can I Learn More About Him And Him Work?

You can learn more about Rick Atkinson and his career through the Biography in Context database. First, click on the Research & Learn tab at the top of the library home page, then select Alphabetical List of Resources. Scroll down to the B's for Biography in Context. Perform a search for the name 'Atkinson, Rick' and you should receive a list of results, including biographies, newspaper and magazine articles, and radio interviews.  

Does the library offer free wi-fi service?

Yes, we offer free WiFi service at all 24 branch locations, which means you can bring your own laptop or portable device to get online at the library. For more information, click on the About tab at the top of the library's homepage. In the box on the left side of the page, click on Computers.
