Privacy is primarily managed through the “My Settings” link near the top right of the page.
Select the “Privacy” tab, and you can then choose to enable or disable the Recently Returned (Reading History) feature, as well as setting your shelves to be private (for your eyes only).
If you don’t make your shelves private, other people will be able to see them when they click on your username (which appears next to any comments, ratings, reviews, etc. that you make on BiblioCommons.
When creating lists of titles, you can also choose to make them private, so that only you can view them.
After you click, “Create a list,” you will get a box to fill out to describe your list. The privacy option appears at the bottom of that box.

Item limits by type are as follows (for most card types)
The total number of items checked out may not exceed 50 items
Fines for books, audiobooks, music CDs, DVDs, videos, and Blu-ray discs are $.10 per item per day with a maximum of $2 per item. Children’s, tween, and teen books and media do not accrue fines.

Actual replacement costs may vary. Items that are returned missing replaceable pieces, such as DVD or CD cases or spine labels, may be charged a $5 damaged item processing fee.
Night drops are available at all branch libraries with the exception of the Genealogy Center.
Books, audiobooks, music CDs, DVDs, videos, and Blu-ray discs have a checkout period of 14 days. These items may all be renewed up to 100 times for a checkout period totaling one year.
Note that some cards and materials have additional restrictions.
Items that are renewable may be renewed up to 100 times with a checkout period totaling up to one year. If you attempt to renew an item that has reached the renewal limit, that been reserved by another customer, or whose loan policies do not allow renewal, a message will appear informing you which titles were not renewed and why.
Most items renew for 14 days. The new due date will be 14 days from the date it is renewed.
In an effort to go green, the library will no longer mail notifications, effective May, 14, 2013. Please add an email address and/or telephone number to your account so that we can provide you notifications regarding your holds and other library information.
