Tulsa Mayor Dewey F. Bartlett, Jr. Proclaims September as “Smart Card Month”
September is Library Card Sign-up Month, a time when Tulsa City-County Library joins with the American Library Association and public libraries nationwide to make sure that students have the most important school supply of all – a free library card. During this monthlong celebration, TCCL will not charge for replacement library cards, normally a $1 fee.
Tulsa Mayor Dewey F. Bartlett, Jr. has proclaimed September as “Smart Card Month.” A library card from TCCL is the smartest card you can own.
Libraries are an essential service for the nation’s children. Libraries bridge the digital divide by providing a full range of information and services to children and adult learners. By offering free access to important educational resources like online homework resources, access to online databases and eBooks, libraries continue to evolve and find ways to bring value to our community.
For more information on how to sign up for a library card, visit any TCCL location, or call the AskUs Hotline, 918-549-7323.
