Mission
The mission of the Jewish Federation of Tulsa is to preserve and enhance Jewish life and well-being in Eastern Oklahoma, Israel, and the entire world.
This mission is being addressed by pursuing charitable, humanitarian, cultural, educational, health, and social service needs of the Jewish community as well as engaging in community relations and outreach and providing a variety of services to the broader Tulsa community.
The Jewish Federation of Tulsa is the umbrella for The Sherwin Miller Museum of Jewish Art and the Charles Schusterman Jewish Community Center.
Services and Programs
The Jewish Federation of Tulsa is built on three strategic Initiatives:
- Community Engagement
- Ensuring the Jewish Future
- Caring for People in Need
JFT programming and services fall under one or more of these initiatives. These pillars represent our values and explain the depth, breadth, and scope of our work. These initiatives tell our Federation story.
JFT endeavors to create leaders, advocates, and compassionate constituents through educational opportunities, cultural events, experiential learning, and the exchange of resources with our organization and a variety of other agencies.
Jewish continuity is about creating a rich Jewish future for our children and our children’s children. This future is built on what we do today, so JFT creates opportunities for people of all ages to participate and celebrate Jewish life and connect with the community and Israel. We have a multipronged approach to building, supporting, and sustaining our Jewish community.
JFT helps answer the hard questions. What role is Judaism going to play in your life? How do you build a Jewish network? How can we provide you with Jewish confidence through Jewish competence?
JFT leverages the strength of our community to provide aid to people in need. Our work includes assisting in emergencies and connecting people to the skills and services necessary to be self-sufficient, decrease isolation, and ensure their dignity.
