Mission
Our Mission: To create a caring community where grieving families know they are not alone; to provide a safe place to grieve the death and celebrate the life of loved ones; to provide professionally facilitated support groups, individual counseling and special programs for grieving children, teens and adults; and to be the primary community resource for providing comprehensive grief support, advocacy and education.
Services and Programs
Our programs include individual counseling for children, teens and adults, family counseling, loss-specific groups facilitated by a professional grief counselor, workshops, professional trainings, grief outreach services for local area schools, businesses, and other nonprofits, a crisis response team, and Camp Erin Tulsa - Oklahoma's first overnight grief camp for kids and teens.
There is a fee associated with individual or family counseling and The Grief Center accepts insurance for individual or family sessions. Clients can also take advantage of a Sliding Fee Scale Discount Program based on income. Scholarships are available for those unable to pay.
As of Spring 2021, all our groups are provided on a donation basis.
