Throughout January, we shared information about the many books clubs TCCL offers on our social media channel! Now that our book clubs meet virtually, they're easier than ever for you to join. Below is a complete list of our current monthly book clubs. Learn a little bit about the book club host, meeting pattern and reading interests. The Cover to Cover book club is led by Marie at Broken Arrow Library, and it meets the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. For their Feb. 2 meeting, they are reading March: Book One by John Lewis. Sign up and learn more here. Marie's favorite read of 2020 was The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater. Her most anticipated read of 2021 is The Midnight Library by Matt Haig.
Beyond the Book, hosted by Kelli at South Broken Arrow Library, meets the third Thursday of each month at 10:30 a.m. For their Feb. 18 meeting, they are reading Dreamland Burning by Jennifer Latham. The Brookside Book Discussion is hosted by Kelly at Brookside Library. It meets the second Monday of each month at 1:30 p.m. For their Feb. 8 meeting, they are reading News of the World by Paulette Jiles. Sign up and learn more here. The Out-Lit: YABook Club, for ages 12-18, is co-hosted by Katie at Brookside Library and Heather at South Broken Arrow Library. It meets the fourth Friday of each month at 4:30 p.m. For their meeting on Feb. 26, they are reading You Should See Me in a Crown by Leah Johnson--which also happens to be their most anticipated read of 2021! The Teen Book Chat is hosted by Jannell at the Herman & Kate Kaiser Library and meets the third Tuesdays of each month at 6 p.m. For their Feb. 16 meeting, they are reading Sequoyah Book Award nominee Stepsister by Jennifer Donnelly. The Between the Covers is a romance-themed book club hosted by Ellen at Central Library. The Grapevine Literary Society is hosted by Alicia at Rudisill Regional Library. For their next meeting on Monday, Feb. 22 they are reading Holocaust in the Homeland by Dr. Corinda Pitts. Another Chapter Book Club is hosted by Crystal at Central Library and meets the last Thursday of each month at 2 p.m. For their Feb. 25 meeting they are reading Crystal's most anticipated book of 2021, Citizen: An American Lyric by Claudia Rankine. Her favorite read of 2020 was The Flatshare by Beth O'Leary.
The Bixby Library Book Discussion is hosted by Melissa and meets the last Friday of each month at 2 p.m. For their Feb. 26 meeting, they are reading Mrs. Lincoln's Sisters by Jennifer Chiaverini.
