2022 Spooky Story Contest!

Aspiring writers ages 8-18 are invited to connect their love of writing with a passion for scary storytelling in the Spooky Story Contest! From Oct. 1-31, students can submit a short story to any TCCL location. The top 10 winners in each of the three age categories (8-11, 12-14 and 15-18) will have their stories published on TCCL's website, as well as in a physical anthology.

We at TCCL promote and celebrate Hispanic culture year-round, but Hispanic Heritage Month in September and October provides additional opportunities for TCCL to share and honor the many colorful traditions of Hispanic heritage. National Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated annually from Sept. 15-Oct. 15, a timeframe that includes when several Latin American independence days occur: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua celebrate their independence on Sept. 15, Mexico on Sept. 16, and Chile on Sept. 17.
