Mission
With a mission of Kids Helping Kids, The Lemon-Aid Project is a non-profit with IRS 501(c)(3) approval that creates fun and engaging community activities for all ages while raising funds and awareness for children- and family-related charities within the community.
Lemon-Aid is a Labor Day Weekend city-wide fundraiser originally held from 1994 to 2000, where kids across Tulsa, Oklahoma donated their time to sell lemonade and all money raised went directly to benefit the children and families at the Tulsa Day Center for the Homeless. Over the course of seven Labor Day Weekends, with the help of more than 10,000 youth volunteers, Lemon-Aid raised more than $350,000. We revamped the program in 2019 with our 25th anniversary and hope to expand to other cities and communities in the future.
Programs and Services
We provide Tulsans of all ages the opportunity to give back to their community through the simple act of a lemonade stand. We provide the materials (lemonade, cups, etc.) and you provide your time and creativity. All money raised over the Labor Day Weekend is given back to community organizations.
Volunteers learn about philanthropy and entrepreneurship, funds and awareness are raised for lesser known non-profits in the community. Tulsa wins.
