Learn more about the national African American community and work with peers to win prizes at Tulsa City-County Library’s 2023 African American Heritage Bowl. “Black Resistance” is this year’s theme.
The African American Heritage Bowl will be hosted by the African American Resource Center at Rudisill Regional Library, 1520 N. Hartford, Thursday, Feb. 23, 6 p.m. This event is free and open to the public, but participants must register their teams by Feb. 16. The bowl is open to all middle and high school students as well as business organizations, churches, book clubs, families and other community groups.
The trivia competition will feature a Middle School Bowl, High School Bowl and a Community Bowl. Trophies will be awarded to first-, second- and third-place winners in each bowl. The top three teams in both school bowls will receive additional prizes. Teams can have up to four members. Each middle school and high school may register only one team per school. Email Adrienne.Teague@tulsalibrary.org to register and receive team packets with study guides as well as school entry forms with rules and regulations.
The African American Heritage Bowl is sponsored by the African American Resource Center, Tulsa Library Trust, and Jim and Sally Frasier.
