Families are invited explore and learn about cultures from around the globe during “World in a Box” on Saturday, Aug. 3, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. in Central Library’s Pocahontas Greadington Learning and Creativity Center, Fifth Street and Denver Avenue.
During this immersive international experience, enjoy live performances, see vibrant dances and participate in hands-on activities for all ages through the Tulsa Global Alliance Cultural Box Program. By visiting each country’s booth, participants will have their passport stamped to show their imaginations have traveled around the world. Tulsa Global Alliance’s Sister Cities program will have displays from Amiens, France; Beihai, China; Celle, Germany; Kaohsiung, Taiwan; San Luis Potosi, Mexico; Tiberias, Israel; Utsunomiya, Japan and Zelenograd, Russia.
World in a Box is an ideal opportunity for children to learn about the world, for teachers to connect with resources available in Tulsa and for the community to celebrate our rich cultural diversity.
