To celebrate the achievements of local wordsmiths, the Friends of the Tulsa City-County Libraries will present the 36th annual Adult Creative Writing Contest awards April 14 at 2:30 p.m. in Central Library’s Aaronson Auditorium, Fourth Street and Denver Avenue.
Local author Jeff Martin will present the awards and deliver a keynote address. Martin is the co-founder of Booksmart Tulsa, fiction editor for This Land Press and online communities manager at Philbrook Museum of Art. He also is a contributor to Publishers Weekly, Poets & Writers, Salon and National Public Radio. He serves on the advisory boards for Nimrod and Oklahoma Center for the Book.
