Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy a relaxing evening with an outdoor movie as part of TCCL’s adult summer reading program.
In keeping with the summer reading program theme, “Libraries Rock,” Central Library, Fifth Street and Denver Avenue, will show “Movies in the Garden” with a rocking theme.
Enjoy these three movies and free popcorn in the Tandy Foundation Children’s Garden:
- June 13, 7-9 p.m., “School of Rock” – Jack Black plays a substitute teacher who enlists his music students in a bid to win the Battle of the Bands.
- June 27, 7-9 p.m. “Wayne’s World” – In this oddball comedy classic based on a “Saturday Night Live” sketch from the ‘80s, Wayne and Garth struggle to take their public-access show to the big time.
- July 11, 7-9 p.m. “High Fidelity” – In this biting romantic comedy, John Cusack, the owner of a semi-failing record store, is a self-professed music junkie who is reluctantly being dragged into adulthood.
The summer reading program, continuing through Aug. 4, is for all ages. Visit your local library or sign up online to read your way to prizes, and food and entertainment coupons. For more information, call the AskUs Hotline, 918-549-7323, or visit www.tulsalibrary.org.
