Rudisill Regional Library presents holiday bazaar and open house

Begin your holiday season with the first ever “Open House & Taste of North Tulsa Holiday and Resource Bazaar” at Rudisill Regional Library, 1520 N. Hartford, Nov. 5, 1-4 p.m.

Do your holiday shopping from a large group of local vendors featuring handmade and one-of-a-kind items. For a small fee, you can taste holiday recipes prepared by North Tulsa caterers. There will also be resource tables with information about free services from community organizations.

All library fines will be waived during the event for library customers returning overdue materials. Customers can also bring gently used or new children’s book to donate to TCCL’s literacy program.

The event is sponsored by the Friends of the Rudisill Regional Library and is a fundraiser for the Freddie Martin Rudisill Scholarship Award, which supports TCCL staff in continuing education. The scholarship, as well as Rudisill Regional Library, is named after the late Ms. Rudisill, a longtime library employee and education advocate.

While visiting the holiday bazaar, guests are invited to tour the new and improved Rudisill Regional Library to see new features including:

·         Reconfigured children’s area with more room for “Stay-n-Play” activities

·         Business Center with wireless printing, faxing, scanning and copier capabilities

·         Charging stations for digital devices

·         New microfiche reader printer for the African-American Resource Center

For more information on Rudisill Regional Library’s improvements and programming, call the AskUs Hotline, 918-549-7323, or visit the library’s webpage, www.tulsalibrary.org.
