Touch-A-Truck Event to Super Size Hardesty Regional Library

From kitchen cabinets to school auditoriums, everyday occurrences seem larger than life through a child’s eyes. Families are invited to explore and discover dozens of big trucks and automobiles during “Touch-A-Truck.” Tulsa City-County Library’s Hardesty Regional Library, 8316 E. 93rd St., will transform the parking lot into a child’s perfect playground, July 29, 9-11 a.m. The event is in conjunction with Tulsa City-County Library’s children’s, teen and adult summer reading programs. Touch-A-Truck is an exciting and hands-on family event. It’s a great opportunity for children of all ages to see familiar and maybe some not familiar vehicles up close. They can touch, explore and perhaps sit in the driver’s seat of vehicles they see every day. Participating organizations include PSO, Tulsa Fire Department, Tulsa Police Department, EMSA, Tulsa’s Channel 8, Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office and News on 6. “Touch-A-Truck” is sponsored by Flint Family Foundation and Tulsa City-County Library, with additional support provided by the Mary K. Chapman Foundation and George Kaiser Family Foundation.
