Kick off Hanukkah, Christmas and Kwanzaa in style with “Delights of December.”
Enjoy music and poetry celebrating the holidays in December with emcee Karen Larsen, KJRH Channel 2 news anchor, leading the cheerful program Dec. 9, noon-1 p.m., at Hardesty Regional Library, 8316 E. 93rd St.
Light refreshments will be served at this family program for all ages. Sponsored by the Friends of the Tulsa City-County Libraries.
Enjoy readings or songs or songs from these community members:
- Karen Larsen will read two Hanukkah poems
- Wayne Hardy will read his Elf story, a Shel Silverstein poem and a Santa Diaries story
- Bev and Keith Jemison, along with Janice Robinson, will perform holiday songs
- Rosemary Powell will read two Kwanzaa poems
- Karen Larsen will conclude the program with a Christmas poem and “Amazing Peace” by Maya Angelou
Tulsa City-County Library features thousands of holiday resources featuring song books, cook books and classics. Customers can check out library materials from a holiday display after the program.
