All summer, children and teens have competed at various Tulsa City-County Libraries to build the best Lego creation. Now they will face off for the ultimate in Lego building bragging rights.
To qualify for the finals children built an original design based on the summer reading program theme “Fizz, Boom, Read.” Teens created an original design based on the theme “Spark a Reaction.”
More than 50 finalists will compete in a timed event to see who can build the best creation and claim the title as Champion of the 2014 Great Lego Build Off. The Great Lego Build Off, July 25, at the Librarium, 11th and Denver Avenue, features children’s and teen competitions: Children, 10-11 a.m., and Teens, 1-2:30 p.m.
The young designers will appear before a panel of judges to explain why their design is worthy of first place. The top three finalists in each age category will receive prizes. All participants will receive certificates of achievement.
