The response to Tulsa City-County Library’s children’s and teen summer reading programs was both a home run and a slam dunk.
Through eight weeks of the summer reading program, 39,724 Tulsa County children and teens have signed up to keep the pages turning with summer learning. Participants have until Aug. 2 to complete the program, earn a coupon booklet filled with free items throughout the area, and be entered in an end-of-summer drawing for great prizes like bicycles and helmets, a fishing trip, Xbox 360 with Kinect bundle and gift certificates to area stores.
Two rewards from the coupon booklet are free admission to a Tulsa Drillers and Tulsa Shock game. Children and teens who completed the 2014 summer reading program can redeem their coupon for a free ticket to each game.
