TCCL presents workshop on planning your online legacy

Do you know how your memories spread between your computer, email and social media accounts will be handled after your death?

Join Katlin Seagraves, Central Library’s Digital Literacy Lab coordinator, as she introduces the basics of digital estate planning during “Online Legacies and Digital Estate Planning.” Participants can choose from one of the following scheduled programs:

  • Aug. 8 at 2 p.m., Herman and Kate Kaiser Library, 5202 S. Hudson, Suite B
  • Aug. 18 at 10:30 a.m., Hardesty Regional Library, 8316 E. 93rd St.
  • Aug. 23 at 2 p.m., Central Library, Fifth Street and Denver Avenue
  • Aug. 27 at 6 p.m., Broken Arrow Library, 300 W. Broadway

“When we think of end of life planning, we often don't think about our online presence and digital assets. In this class attendees will learn about how to evaluate your digital assets, best practices for storing their digital information logically, and what steps one should take for end of life planning, either for themselves or a loved one,” explained Seagraves. “We will also briefly look at social media accounts that have options for memorializing or deleting accounts after someone's death.”
