   Join Tulsa City-County Library for a series of events aimed at empowering new and existing entrepreneurs in celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week, Nov. 18-24. 

   Since 2008, the Global Entrepreneurship Network has helped millions of people unleash their ideas to start and scale new businesses through Global Entrepreneurship Week. This movement places emphasis on inspiring young people to make their mark and has quickly grown to become a comprehensive effort that engages entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, researchers, support organizations and others collaborating to advance economic growth and innovation in more than 200 countries around the world. 

   Free TCCL programs for adults include:

  • “Simply Analytics 101” on Monday, Nov. 18 from noon-1 p.m. at Central Library, Fifth Street and Denver Avenue. At this program, a representative from Simply Analytics will teach participants all the features of this new database (including demographics, businesses, maps and more). Registration is required. 
  • “Canva 101 for Entrepreneurs” on Tuesday, Nov. 19 from 6-7 p.m. at Central Library. Come and learn how to brand your business using Canva. Registration is required.
  • “Mindful Entrepreneurship: Wellness Strategies” on Wednesday, Nov. 20 from 10 a.m.-noon at Kendall-Whittier Library, 21 S. Lewis Ave. Join TCCL and Avanzando Juntos for an entrepreneurial wellness event featuring a presentation, snacks and valuable resources. Registration is required. 
  • “Library Resources for Entrepreneurs” on Wednesday, Nov. 20 from 6-7 p.m. at Broken Arrow Library, 300 W. Broadway. This class is all about what resources the library can offer small-business owners. 
  • “Market Research for Entrepreneurs” on Thursday, Nov. 21, offered at two different times: noon-1 p.m. at Martin Regional Library, 2601 S. Garnett Road, and 7-8 p.m. via Zoom. This class will explore library databases and resources for industry and market research. Registration is required to obtain the Zoom link.
  • “Intellectual Property 101 With Kate Sullivan” on Friday, Nov. 22 from 10-11 a.m. at Central Library. Join TCCL and attorney Kate Sullivan for a class about intellectual property and what you should know for your small business.
