The annual Great Decisions Discussion series explores how remote global challenges are increasingly impacting our communities.
Robert Donaldson will open the series with a keynote address Sunday, Jan. 27, 2:30 p.m., in Central Library’s Aaronson Auditorium, Fifth Street and Denver Avenue. The program is free and open to the public.
Robert Donaldson, trustee’s professor of political science at The University of Tulsa, is the featured speaker. Donaldson earned a Ph.D. from Harvard University and is a former president of The University of Tulsa. His areas of interest include international politics with emphasis on Soviet, Russian and American foreign policies. He will bring interesting insights into today’s relationship between the U.S. and Russia in his talk "Putin’s Push to Restore Russia’s ‘Great Power’ Status: The Global Impact."
Participants are invited to join a discussion group focusing on any of this year’s featured topics. Discussion books with information on each of the topics are available for optional purchase. Topics are:
