   This summer, “Adventure Begins At Your Library.”

   Tulsa City-County Library’s 2024 summer reading program is the perfect tradition for all ages. The annual program, ongoing June 1-July 31, is filled with free performances and great prizes. 

   Featuring live performances from local and national artists, families will enjoy seeing entertaining and educational stories come to life at their favorite libraries.

   All four age groups - littles, children, teens/tweens and adults - can read their way to incentive prizes. Register online at, www.tulsalibrary.org/summer or visit any Tulsa City-County Library location or the Bookmobile to sign up. Readers can begin submitting their completed reading logs June 24 to receive their coupon booklet, prizes, and medals for littles and children. 

  Visit,www.tulsalibrary.org/summer and use the summer reading program event guide to discover book clubs, art lessons, storytimes, gaming nights, language classes, and more great programming for all ages.

   Littles (birth to pre-K) and Children (kindergarten-fifth grade) can reach their goal by reading or listening to 8 books by July 31. Read 20 books and receive a bonus prize: Littles, Buddy Bookworm Face Plushie; Children, Animal Squeezy Toy. All littles and children who read 8 books and turn in the completion form will get a commemorative medal and a coupon booklet for free entertainment and food items:

• Admission to an FC Tulsa game

• Admission to Hardesty National BMX Stadium

• Admission to Tulsa Botanic Garden

• Admission to a Tulsa Drillers game

• Admission to Tulsa Ice Centers and skate rental

• Admission to the Tulsa State Fair

• Admission to the Tulsa Zoo

• Kid’s meal from IHOP

• Cinnamon sticks from Mazzio’s

• Decorated cookie from Merritt’s Bakery

• Justaburger Kid’s Meal from Whataburger

   Littles: Medal winners will be entered into a prize drawing to win one of 12 $50 gift cards to Kiddlestix Toy store, courtesy of the Tulsa Library Trust and the Friends of the Helmerich Library.

   Children: Medal winners will be entered into a prize drawing for:

• (2) DIY Private Party Package, provided by Creative Play

• (3) $30 gift card to Target, provided by the Friends of the Helmerich Library

• (2) Family membership to Discovery Lab, provided by the Friends of the Helmerich Library

  Tweens and teens, sixth to 12th grade, can reach their goal by reading or listening to six books by July 31. By completing the program, they will receive an eco-friendly reusable water bottle, and a coupon booklet for free entertainment and food items:

Come dressed up in your favorite costume. Wear a hat, glasses, mask, funny shoes or whatever you have in mind for your adventure style. Hats and masks are provided. For ages 2-7.

 

 

Summer Reading Program Kickoff Party

Kick off the Summer Reading Program camp style with music, Minute to Win It games (with small prizes), bubbles and a camp necklace craft. Play games from 11 to 11:45 a.m., and then stay and create a camp necklace and enjoy more fun activities inside the library. For all ages.
