SRP Collage

The American Indian Resource Center participates in TCCL's Summer Reading Program every summer. The programs consist of native culture arts, storytelling, dancing, and Plains Indian Sign Language. There are programs for Adults, Teens/Tweens, and Children's. These programs are held at library locations throughout Tulsa County or on YouTube and can be enjoyed by customers of all ages.

Fik Sum Kee: Native American stories of high adventure! 

Join Native America’s greatest raconteur, Will Hill, for exciting adventure tales. You will hear the heroic story of “Clam Shell Boy!” and many more. You will enjoy hearing the melodic music of the American Indian flute, turtle shell rattle and Buffalo hide drum. Lots of audience participation and laughs. Don't miss the action-packed program!

Come and learn how to make the corn husk doll, its purpose, and history (through storytelling) among our Kituwah Cherokee peoples and many of our relatives east of the Mississippi River. Seating is limited, first come basis.
