June 7, 2023 - You know Tulsa City-County Library’s summer reading program is here when families line the river’s edge for stories, songs and dancing. Enjoy “Storytime in the Park,” Thursdays at 10 a.m. on June 8, 15, 22, 29 at the QuikTrip Plaza at River Parks, 41st and Riverside. March 10, 2023  -- TCCL will present the inaugural Hummingbird Award in Literary Arts to Benjamin Alire Sáenz on April 1 at 11 a.m. in Central Library’s Pocahontas Greadington Learning and Creativity Center, Fifth Street and Denver Avenue. Sáenz will talk about his life and writings, and sign copies of his books.

Feb. 16, 2023 - Tulsa City-County Library was named one of the top libraries in the U.S. during Library Journal’s annual review of public libraries. TCCL received a five-star rating in the 2022 Library Journal Index of Public Library Service. Library Journal comprises its scores for America’s Star Libraries from eight service criteria: circulation of physical items, circulation of e-materials, library visits, program attendance, public computer users, Wi-Fi sessions, electronic retrievals such as database usage and website visits. 2023 Interfaith Holocaust Commemoration to address “Moral Courage: The Story of the World War II Ritchie Boys”

   Feb. 1, 2023    During World War II, an elite division of the U.S. Army known as the “Ritchie Boys” greatly aided Allied forces in their fight against Germany and other Axis nations. These soldiers, who trained at Camp Ritchie in Maryland between 1942 and 1945, provided about 60 percent of the advanced intelligence on Germany’s war plans and tactics, which contributed to ending the war.
