   The Tulsa City-County Library’s city locations will close this weekend in preparation of the President’s rally in Tulsa.

Tulsa City-County Library to reopen for express service

Tulsa City-County Library (TCCL) will reopen all locations for express service beginning Monday, June 22. Express service includes curbside or in-library holds pickup along with browsing, copying, printing and faxing. Computer usage will also be available with a 30-minute time limit.

Tulsa City-County Library to document pandemic in Tulsa through a collaborative community project

   Starting in May, the Tulsa City-County Library will open submissions for Together Apart, a collaborative community project to document the COVID-19 pandemic in Tulsa.

   New York Times bestselling author Katherine Applegate is the winner of the Tulsa Library Trust’s 2020 Anne V. Zarrow Award for Young Readers’ Literature. 

Tulsa City-County Library Temporary Closure

   As a preventative measure to limit exposure to the coronavirus and to follow the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) recommendations for social distancing, all Tulsa City-County Library (TCCL) locations will close to the public beginning today, March 13, 2020, at 6 p.m., and remain closed for at least two weeks. The library will also temporarily discontinue all outreach services including its bookmobile and reading roadshow services during this time.

Day of YA connects writers and fans of young adult literature to authors and scholars with all-day workshops

   Tulsa City-County Library is connecting teens and adults to young adult literature and authors by hosting a full day of programs aimed at celebrating YA readers, fans and writers. With workshops led by renowned young adult authors, Tulsa’s Day of YA gives readers and aspiring writers the opportunity to develop their writing skills and discuss books in a fun, collaborative, enriching environment.

African-American Heritage Bowl focuses on collective remembering of tragic historic past

  Brush up on your local history and work with peers to win prizes at the Tulsa City-County Library’s 2020 African-American Heritage Bowl: 1921 Race Massacre Centennial Edition. TCCL’s African-American Resource Center will host the bowl, which will kick off a year of events and programs leading up to the centennial of the 1921 Race Massacre in Tulsa.

Courageous Community Conversations book discussion delves into refugee experience

   You are invited to “Courageous Community Conversations: Leaving Home, The Refugee Experience” on Thursday, Feb. 20 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Hardesty Regional Library, 8316 E. 93rd St.    Courageous Community Conversations is a reading and discussion program designed to give attendees the opportunity to engage in authentic and enlightening dialogue on challenging topics.
