Students can get homework help at select Tulsa City-County Libraries

Don’t let your scholar get stuck between a rhombus and a hard place this school year. To assist parents and caregivers in helping students achieve their potential, Tulsa City-County Library presents “After-School Homework Club @ Your Library” for third- through eighth-grade students. Any student in Tulsa County can sign up for help.   The After-School Homework Clubs offer one-on-one homework assistance to help students gain a better understanding of their school courses. It is also an opportunity to highlight the many educational services TCCL has for students and families.

"Chapters" literacy fundraiser to feature authors Jennifer Latham, David Leite and Julia Thomas

   Spend an enjoyable evening after hours in the library with three favorite authors while helping raise money and awareness for Tulsa City-County Library’s Ruth G. Hardman Adult Literacy Service.    In conjunction with National Literacy Awareness Month, Tulsa City-County Library and the Tulsa Library Trust are offering “Chapters: A Casual Evening of Books, Bards and Bites” on Thursday, Sept. 7 at 6:30 p.m. at the Hardesty Regional Library, 8316 E. 93rd St. The cost is $50 per person. Deadline for reservations is Aug. 31.

Families invited to back-to-school community resource fair at Martin Regional Library

Tulsa City-County Library and the Coalition of Hispanic Organizations are partnering to present the “Back-to-School Community Resource Fair” Aug. 15, 9-11 a.m. at Martin Regional Library, 2601 S. Garnett Road. Come early, the first 200 children will receive free school supplies!    This free come-and-go event will feature nearly 40 local organizations helping to make sure students are ready to begin the new school year by offering beneficial services and resources.
