Library Presents Discussion Series on End-of-Life Issues

   Tulsa City-County Library and Clarehouse, a nonprofit community for the dying, are partnering to offer a series of free public programs to discuss end-of-life issues.     “Dying: Can We Talk?” is three interactive programs addressing the widespread need for education in goals-of-care planning and navigating the health-care system.  Library materials on the subject will be displayed for library customers to check-out.

Tulsa Library Trust to Present 2016 Anne V. Zarrow Award for Young Readers' Literature to Gordon Korman

   New York Times best-selling author Gordon Korman is the winner of the Tulsa Library Trust’s 2016 Anne V. Zarrow Award for Young Readers’ Literature.  He will accept the award at a public presentation at Hardesty Regional Library’s Connor’s Cove, 8316 E. 93rd St., Friday, May 6, at 7 p.m.  He also will present awards to winners of the 2016 Young People’s Creative Writing Contest awards at the ceremony.

   Everyone loves more time to read.  Now readers have until Aug. 17 to complete Tulsa City-County Library’s children’s, teen and adult summer reading programs.    It pays to read by completing your reading log to earn coupons for free food and entertainment.  Those finishing the program also are entered in an end-of-summer drawing for prizes like bicycles, gaming systems and gift cards.
