Tulsa City-County Library Waives Overdue Fines During November for All Active and Retired Military

   Tulsa City-County Library is waiving late fees throughout November for all active and retired military to honor their service to our country.  Active service members and veterans can simply show their military identification along with their library card to have late fees waived.    Tulsa City-County Library provides access to a large selection of resources for education and entertainment.  You can access many TCCL resources from any library location, your home computer or mobile device.    Popular library services include:

Saint Francis Health System Donates Land to the Tulsa City-County Library

Tulsa, Okla. — Saint Francis Health System has agreed to donate a 6.5-acre parcel in South Broken Arrow to the Tulsa City-County Library. The land will be the future site of the William K. and Natalie O. Warren Library. The property is located near the intersection of Aspen Avenue and New Orleans Street (101st and 145th), across Chestnut Street from the current South Broken Arrow Library.

Central Library Set for Grand Opening Celebration

   After a three year closure to undergo a $50-million renovation, a spectacular Central Library grand opening is scheduled Oct. 1, 10 a.m. at Fifth Street and Denver Avenue.    Remarks from distinguished guests and Tulsa City-County Library administrators are planned for 10 a.m.  A celebration with a ribbon release, daytime fireworks and confetti will immediately precede the 11 a.m. library opening.

Librarium to Host Thank You Celebration as Its Final Chapter

   As Tulsa City-County Library nears the grand opening celebration of Central Library, Oct. 1 at 10 a.m., Fifth and Denver, a chapter is nearing completion for Librarium, 11th and Denver.     A customer appreciation and thank you celebration is planned for Aug. 23, 2-4 p.m. at Librarium, featuring cake, lemonade and balloons.  Customers also can view the Librarium sign removal beginning at 2 p.m.

Families Invited to Back-to-School Community Resource Fair

Tulsa City-County Library and the Coalition of Hispanic Organizations are partnering to present the “Back-to-School Community Resource Fair” Aug. 18, 10-11:30 a.m. at Martin Regional Library, 2601 S. Garnett Road. The first 200 children will receive free school supplies. This free come-and-go event will feature more than 35 local organizations helping to make sure students are ready to begin the new school year by offering beneficial services and resources.

Families are invited to explore and discover dozens of big trucks and automobiles during “Touch-A-Truck.” Tulsa City-County Library’s Hardesty Regional Library, 8316 E. 93rd St., will transform the parking lot into a child’s perfect playground, July 29, 9-11 a.m. The event is in conjunction with Tulsa City-County Library’s children’s, teen and adult summer reading programs.
