Librarium to Host Thank You Celebration as Its Final Chapter

   As Tulsa City-County Library nears the grand opening celebration of Central Library, Oct. 1 at 10 a.m., Fifth and Denver, a chapter is nearing completion for Librarium, 11th and Denver.     A customer appreciation and thank you celebration is planned for Aug. 23, 2-4 p.m. at Librarium, featuring cake, lemonade and balloons.  Customers also can view the Librarium sign removal beginning at 2 p.m.

Families Invited to Back-to-School Community Resource Fair

Tulsa City-County Library and the Coalition of Hispanic Organizations are partnering to present the “Back-to-School Community Resource Fair” Aug. 18, 10-11:30 a.m. at Martin Regional Library, 2601 S. Garnett Road. The first 200 children will receive free school supplies. This free come-and-go event will feature more than 35 local organizations helping to make sure students are ready to begin the new school year by offering beneficial services and resources.

From kitchen cabinets to school auditoriums, everyday occurrences seem larger than life through a child’s eyes. Families are invited to explore and discover dozens of big trucks and automobiles during “Touch-A-Truck.” Tulsa City-County Library’s Hardesty Regional Library, 8316 E. 93rd St., will transform the parking lot into a child’s perfect playground, July 29, 9-11 a.m. The event is in conjunction with Tulsa City-County Library’s children’s, teen and adult summer reading programs. Tulsa City-County Library's Summer Reading Program for All Ages Nears Record Sign-Up

Tulsa City-County Library’s Summer Reading Program for children, teens and adults is well on the way to exceeding sign-up numbers compared to previous years. Through June 16, a total of 37,607 readers of all ages have joined to keep the pages turning this summer; 31,004 children and teens have signed up, while 6,603 adults have joined the program.
